Financial Information

We make orthodontic treatment affordable

So how do we do that? We do what is right for you and your financial situation.

  • We offer flexible financing terms, and we are genuinely happy to do it. It is all part of our effort to give patients more reasons to smile. Flexible financing terms help us achieve that goal.
  • We do this all in-house with no interest because we care about our patients and we do not want a third-party to dictate the financing terms.
  • We accept assignment of your insurance benefits, and we are in network with most insurance companies.

Will my dental insurance cover braces?

Many dental insurance plans offer orthodontic benefits which will help cover the cost of orthodontics including Invisalign, metal, or clear braces. We are happy to check your benefits and find out all of the details for you: amount of benefits, age limits, waiting period, etc. There are many important things for you to know about your specific insurance. Most insurance companies will tell the details only when asked. We will ask all of the important questions for you before your treatment starts in order to avoid problems later.

Does Invisalign / clear aligner treatment cost more than braces?

Not in our office. At Legacy Orthodontics, we are extremely proud of what we refer to as “Free Wireless Upgrades”! Unlike many orthodontic offices, we do not charge any more for Invisalign or Invisalign Teen than we do for braces.

Can I use my Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) for orthodontic treatment?

Yes. Many of our patients use their FSA or HSA in order to use pre-tax dollars to pay for their orthodontic treatment with aligners or braces. This results in significant savings. Most companies require that you let them know ahead of time if you plan to use flex dollars and how much you would like to save into an account. Additionally, there can be an employer deadline to set up the FSA for the next year. With proper planning, many patients are able to pay for their entire treatment with pre-tax dollars. We will help you plan this. If you anticipate that you or your child will need orthodontic treatment in the near future, a complimentary initial appointment (link here to take the user to the initial visit info on the first visit page) will help you to use your FSA to its fullest- and save you money. Proper planning in this regard is important to us because it is important to you.

Is the treatment fee all-inclusive?

Yes. The treatment fee includes all of the orthodontic appliances (expander, braces, aligners, etc), all of the appointments, and the retainers. It also includes all retention appointments for one year after your comprehensive active treatment ends. Providing an all-inclusive fee is best for our patients- and that is why we do it!
